Write freely
Write freely — endless typing practice with no timer
Free writing is typing practice without a clock: pick a text and keep going until you decide to stop. No timer, no target length, no round to finish. Choose a curated template — common words, story prose, work email, technical text — or ask the AI coach for a text about any topic you like. Your progress is saved continuously, so nothing is lost if you close the tab. For the best experience, use a desktop or laptop with a physical keyboard.

FAQ
What is free writing practice?
Free writing is untimed typing practice. Instead of a 60-second test or a fixed lesson, you type continuously on a longer text and stop when you want to. It is the best way to build endurance and a steady rhythm rather than a short burst of speed.
Can I use free writing on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Free writing works on phones and tablets — tap the typing area and your on-screen keyboard opens. A physical keyboard on a computer still gives the most meaningful net-WPM and accuracy, and the structured lessons live there.
Does free writing have a time limit?
No. There is no timer and no target length. The text continues for as long as you keep typing, and the session ends only when you press Stop or leave the page.
Is my session saved if I close the tab?
Signed-in sessions are checkpointed continuously, so a session interrupted by a closed tab is stored with the speed and accuracy you had reached. Guests are autosaved in the browser for the current visit; sign in to keep results permanently.
Can the AI write a text about my own topic?
Yes. Signed-in users can name any topic and the AI coach writes a fresh multi-paragraph text about it, which becomes the text you type. This is limited to two generations per 24 hours; templates are unlimited.
Does free writing count towards my stats?
Yes. Net WPM, accuracy, per-key and per-bigram error rates from free writing feed the same records, streaks and progress dashboard as lessons, targeted practice and the speed test.
Turn endless typing into real progress
Free writing builds endurance. Lessons and targeted keyboard exercises fix the specific keys you keep missing, and the speed test measures where you stand.
